Stories of Chance is a publication of stories about the costs of gambling to the Canberra community and the resilience of those who experience harm.
It is one of the most important policy works of the Australian Capital Territory Council of Social Services (ACTCOSS) this year, and the DropIN Solutions team at WACOSS had the pleasure to turn their work into a visually powerful publication.
Despite the very short timeframes and the time difference, thanks to the team effort of both the ACTCOSS Policy team and WACOSS DropIN Solutions team, the publication was able to be launched on time for the Gambling Harm Awareness Week and, since its release, has received a positive response in the local media.
All this attention has been very useful for ACTCOSS advocacy efforts in calling for reforms of electronic gaming machines in the ACT.
